Ho deciso di iniziare a scrivere questo blog anche in inglese, alcune volte. Le mie più profonde scuse a Shakespeare e compagnia.
Inizio con qualcosa di facile: la piccola chiaccherata di oggi fra Berlusconi e Obama. Il nostro mai troppo istituzionale premier ha parlato dei problemi della giustizia ad un Obama a cui non poteva fottere di meno.
Neanche un po'
E' difficile da capire, per un non-italiano. Nel resto del mondo, un politico fondamentalemnte accusato di tutto, si sarebbe dato al giardinaggio competitivo ormai da molto tempo. Eppure, in Italia non è così. E' qualcosa che ormai appartiene alla nostra storia, al modo in cui non siamo usciti da Mani Pulite, al fatto che,in fondo, siamo ancora nel '92.
Eppure non lo accetto. Non riesco a non vedere la politica come il lavoro più difficile. Cavolo, è essere servi di tutti. E non si possono utilizzare le istituzioni, in questo caso la politca estera, per difendersi. E' vero, è possibile che si utilizzi la presunzione di purezza contro chiunque: è orribile, ed è la seconda cosa che odio di più al mondo. La prima, comunque, rimane fottere le istituzioni. E non riesco a vivere in un paese fatto di continua tensione istituzionale.
Non so se questo fa di une un inquisitore giustizialista. So che per me la politica ha un valore maggiore di qualsiasi vicenda privata, e se qualcuno vuole intraprendere la vita pubblica, deve esserne convinto fino in fondo.

I decided to start posting on this blog also in english, sometimes. My deepest apologies to Shakespeare and his buddies.
I begin with something easy: the today little chat between Berlusconi and Obama. Our never-too-insitutional Prime Minister talked about justice reform's problems with an american president who couldn't give the sweetest fuck.
Not a single one
It's difficult to understand, for a non-italian. In the rest of the world, a policymaker who is charged of everysingle felony around should be into competitive gardening since a long time. However, Italy is different. It's something that belongs to our history, to the way we couldn't get out from the "Mani Pulite" period, to the fact that we are, in one way or the other, still in '92.
Whatever, I cannot accept this. I just see politics as a hell of a job. It's damn public service. And it's not possible, for anyone, to defend himself using institutions, in this case foreign politics. It's true, it's possibile that this purity asumption could be used against someone: it's horrible, and it's the second thing that I hate the most. The first, however, it's still fucking with institutions.
I don't know if this makes me something like an inquisitor.What I know, is that politics for me is worth more than any single private issue, and if someone wants to run for public life, he must be well aware of that.
